Born in the East of France in 2001, the Sparkling Bombs show off some decadent and genuine kind of rock'n'roll with trashy elegance.Alice (vocals), Lady Bittersweet (guitar), Joker (guitar), L a u r (drums) and Matt (bass) offer a mix of bubblegum pop and junkie chic punk rock under the influence of the New York Dolls, The Sex Pistols, Hanoi Rocks, The Backyard Babies, Placebo,The Manic Street Preachers... and create a world of their own made of passion, frustration and trashy make-up.Through their shows in France, Germany, Switzerland or Belgium, The Sparkling Bombs already gathered a regular audience. The band already played with bands such as American Heartbreak, Nashville Pussy, Groovie Ghoulies, Adam West, etc.Summer 2002- the Sparkling Bombs released their first 5 song CD 'From Bubblegum Fun To Glittered Depression' (distributed by United Musics Company) which got positively reviewed in many countries (Sweden, Italy, France, USA, UK, Japan, Finland, Hungary...)April 2003- The explosive band will be the opening act for The Lords Of The New Church French tour to promote their first full-lenght CD (to be recorded in February 2003) and will play a couple festivals.
