THE DAGGER DATES (Dark-Punk)
Somewhere between the dark bewitching music of bands like The Sisters Of Mercy or The Lords Of The New Church and early New York punk rock (Dead Boys/Ramones...), The Dagger Dates managed to record two songs and play their first show (in Germany opening for post-punk band Lotus Feed) in less than a year despite three line-up changes!
Legendary French fanzine Rock Hardi ("Blood Turn Silver" appears on the 'zine's 30th anniversary compilation CD) describes The Dagger Dates' music as "proto dark punk", you can trust them!
